would you rest here? consists of two stacked objects. Their form is abstracted from the headrests of massage tables. Embroidered on the surface of the objects are the words Rest your head here. On one hand, they are a literal invitation to visitors to rest their heads on the objects; on the other, they address the need for aftercare services in our society. The artistic work was preceded by an engagement with the concept of aftercare, a term used both in the BDSM scene and in the context of medical aftercare.
The work was presented in 2023 as part of the group exhibition Jour Fixe at Hafenstraße 76 in Kassel, and was also part of the group exhibition Insel at Wirkbau Chemnitz.
